Alexander Johns

RELATIONSHIP MANAGER, CO-FOUNDER

As a teenager, Alex was exposed to the construction and real estate industry through his family's business. He worked for his father's company, Design & Construction, where he learned the values of work ethic, customer service, and the importance of helping people improve their homes - their most valuable asset. 

Alex furthered his education by obtaining a Finance and Management Degree from the University of Kentucky. This degree allowed him to advance in his career and gain valuable skills in management, including business management, people management, analytical skills, inventory management, and cash planning.

Sean Schmitt

RELATIONSHIP MANAGER, CO-FOUNDER

As the Co-Founder of A&S Construction, I built this company on a simple realization: as a real estate owner, I saw firsthand how difficult it was to find reliable contractors who delivered consistent quality. I knew there had to be a better way. When we launched A&S Construction in 2021, I set out to redefine the industry standard by anchoring everything we do to three core principles: Communication, Integrity, and Quality of work.

Today, I oversee the organization with a focus on empowering our people. I pride myself on the immense growth our company has achieved, but more importantly, the personal and professional growth of the individuals within our team. I am a firm believer in giving our team members true ownership, always focusing on the "why" behind our projects, and actively investing in their futures.

Outside of the office, my greatest joy is spending quality time with my wife and two children, usually relaxing together by the pool or enjoying a day at the beach.

Jacob Mizner

Chief of Staff

Jake is the longest tenured employee and a staple in the organization. He’s the “go-to” person for everyone in the organization when something goes wrong. He’s been with the company through all major growth stages and has taken the lead on integrating AI into the business while also implementing CRM platforms and cross-platform data reconciliation focusing on automation.

Outside of work, Jake is a devoted husband and soon to be father. He is committed to his faith, values always learning, and enjoys exploring new tools and ideas in the digital space

Ryan Dinnegan

design consultant

Ryan Dinnegan is a seasoned Design Consultant along with over 11 years of experience in the mortgage industry. A graduate of St. Xavier High School and the University of Kentucky, Ryan brings a deep understanding of customer service and project management to every client interaction.

Now focused on home improvement solutions, Ryan is passionate about guiding clients through their projects from the initial idea to the final result. His commitment to delivering an exceptional experience ensures that every client’s vision is brought to life with quality and care. Known for his reliability, expertise, and client-first approach, Ryan thrives on helping homeowners create spaces they’re proud of. He believes that the details matter—and it shows in every project he takes on.

Outside of work, Ryan enjoys fishing, playing golf, and spending as much time as possible with his wife and daughter.

Alex McSweeney

Alex is a Louisville native with deep roots in the community. A graduate of Saint X High School, Alex brings genuine care and local knowledge to every homeowner he works with. His passion is building lasting customer relationships, with a focus on providing the best service in town.



In his free time, Alex enjoys playing golf and staying involved in the community as a youth soccer coach with Falls City, helping develop the youth of today into the adults of tomorrow.

Sean Collins

design consultant

Sean Collins brings a strong background in leadership, coaching, and relationship-driven sales to the team. An Indianapolis native, Sean attended Cathedral High School, where he was a two-time state champion, before continuing his education and football career at Purdue University. As a walk-on defensive back for the Boilermakers, he earned a varsity letter in 2011 and later graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education.

His competitive background, attention to detail, and commitment to serving others allow Sean to guide customers confidently through every step of their project. Outside of work, he continues to value teamwork, personal growth, and the strong relationships he has built throughout his career.

Selena Clan

Asst. Office manager

Selena, a Louisville native and a Mercy Academy Alumni. Continues to develop her professional skills in the administrative field at A&S Construction. Selena Prides herself in providing excellent customer service and communications that promote excellent client relationships as well as continuing to establish herself as a crucial asset to the A&S Construction team.

Jeannine Alcober

ADministrative assistant

Jeannine is an Administrative Assistant at A&S Construction with a strong background in operations management, project coordination, and administrative support. She previously served as Operations Manager for a construction-related company, where she oversaw daily operations, monitored project timelines and budgets, managed manpower and payroll, prepared executive reports, handled inventory, and supported bookkeeping, budgeting, and financial tracking.

Her experience also includes on-site project supervision as a Project-in-Charge and Safety Officer, giving her a practical understanding of field operations, documentation, and resource coordination. In addition, Jeannine brings several years of experience in social media management and digital marketing, supporting brand presence and client engagement.



At A&S Construction, she applies this diverse experience to support administrative workflows, scheduling, documentation, reporting, and internal coordination — helping ensure efficient day-to-day operations and smooth project execution.

Chloe Eye

Client Coordinator

As Client Coordinator at A&S Construction, Chloe makes sure every client feels heard and every project stays on track. She reaches out promptly, follows up daily, and keeps communication clear from the first call to the final walkthrough.

Chloe brings a background in insurance and emergency services to her role — experience that's taught her how to stay calm, organized, and attentive when it matters most. That foundation shows in the way she handles every client relationship: with patience, clarity, and genuine care.

For Chloe, it's simple — people come first. Her commitment to making every client feel valued is what keeps A&S Construction's projects running smoothly from start to finish.

Mitchie Dausan

Bookkeeper

Mitchie Dausan is a skilled Assistant Bookkeeper with strong experience in QuickBooks Online, Xero, and cloud‑based accounting systems. She helps business owners gain clarity in their finances by keeping their books organized, accurate, and up‑to‑date.

Her expertise includes full‑cycle bookkeeping, account setup, customized charts of accounts, bank and credit card integrations, payment gateway setup, invoice and bill management, bank categorization, and preparation of key financial reports. She also provides reliable payroll support, including processing, timesheet management, tax compliance, payslip distribution, and year‑end reporting.



With a strong eye for detail and a commitment to efficiency, Mitchie delivers consistent, high‑quality work. She’s trustworthy, solutions‑oriented, and dedicated to helping businesses maintain a solid financial foundation.

Clarissa Joy M. Araos

I’m a bookkeeper who believes every number tells a story. With sharp attention to detail and a passion for organization, I keep finances accurate, clear, and moving in the right direction.



Clarissa plays a vital role in our workflow. She manages a high volume of responsibilities with diligence, consistency, and a positive attitude that strengthens the entire team.

Travis Sturgill

Assistant Operations Manager

Travis Sturgill’s effort and enthusiasm are what drive the team to succeed. No matter the size of the project, Travis leads by example, guiding the team to set ambitious goals and consistently exceed expectations. His dedication and leadership inspire excellence throughout the organization.

Jace Wilson is from Shepherdsville, KY, where he attended North Bullitt High School. He then went on to play baseball and study at Kentucky State University, earning his bachelor's degree in Business Administration, specializing in management. As the Operations Specialist at A&S, Jace ensures a smooth transition for homeowners from sales to installation. His role also includes handling service calls, building material lists, and creating custom deck designs tailored to the homeowners' vision. Jace is committed to upholding A&S's core values of communication, integrity, and quality workmanship in everything he does and his dedication to excellence guarantees a top-notch experience for every project.

With a foundation in logistics and a passion for precision, Abriella brings unmatched efficiency and attention to detail to residential interior project management. She’s driven by a commitment to quality, clear communication, and meeting deadlines without compromise. From coordinating contractors and vendors to managing timelines and budgets, Abriella ensures every phase of a project runs smoothly.

Ryan McGarry

Business Development Manager

Experienced construction and project leader with over 12 years of managing contractors and coordinating multi-trade projects, consistently delivering high-quality results on time and within scope. Ryan joined A&S as a Project Manager, bringing 7 years of hands-on experience in residential construction, including deck building, full home renovations, and custom tiny home construction. He is known for strong leadership, effective problem-solving, and meticulous attention to detail throughout all phases of a build. Outside of his professional work, Ryan actively coaches multiple sports teams, demonstrating a strong commitment to mentorship, teamwork, and performance development both on and off the job site.

Dan Mollohan

Asst. Project Manager

Dan is an experienced construction professional, with over 20 years in the industry. With this, he he able to improve customer experience through communication and maintaining quality of work standards.

Dylan Clements

Operations Team Lead

Dylan is a Louisville native, who brings a positive attitude to every challenge. Throughout his time at A&S, he has grown into the Operations Team Lead, where he leads the Operations team and ensure things move smoothly from project start to finish.

Outside of work Dylan enjoys video games, professional fighting and spending time with his family.

Nate Butler

Operations Coordinator

Nate Butler brings a wealth of technical knowledge to the team, pairing his keen eye for detail with a meticulous approach to every project. He plays a critical role in keeping operations running smoothly - verifying orders, maintaining accurate inventory for upcoming projects, and ensuring every customer is fully protected through proper warranty registration and management.

James Lagunda

Operations Assistant

James brings energy and reliability to the A&S team, collaborating across nearly every department to keep our operations running smoothly. His versatility and steady presence make him a key part of our day‑to‑day success. Outside of work, James enjoys spending quality time with his friends and family.

Charlie Carter

Project Consultant

Charlie keeps worksites safe, clean, and organized, handles material pickup and delivery, and makes sure materials are taken care of. He documents project progress and steps in wherever he can to support the team. Charlie brings a fun and positive attitude to the mix, and thoroughly enjoys seeing each project from start to finish.
